Highest Number of World Record
The king of World Records: Iqbal Sikka this year as well created another world record by making a miniature Gold Stamp with a height of 3mm, length of 2mm and weight of 0.50 grams; he has created 56 World Records till now by creating the smallest matchbox, India’s National Flag, Gold Chain, Gold Seal, Cricket Ground Replica, Gold World Cup and a lot more. This renowned miniature sculpture also holds the record of creating the highest number of World Records. He has been dedicated in creating miniatures that blow everyone’s minds for years now and it seems that he’ll be adding more World Records in his list in the upcoming years.
Donation of 3 lakh Clothing Items
On 8th April 2018 a record of donating 3 lakh articles of clothing was created through a donation campaign run for 3 months in Udaipur by the Lakshya Raj Singh Mewar the royal custodian with the help of 1700 volunteers. The donations were collected from all over the world by more than 76000 donors. They broke the former world record created in Dubai of donating 2, 95,122 clothing articles in 2016. This campaign which was held in Udaipur was also supported by Clothes Box Foundation, Goonj Ngo, the music artists: Salim Suleman, Cricketers: Irfan and Yusuf Khan, and Khodal Dham Trust of Gujarat.
Maximum Laddoo Distribution
Yes, you read it right, on 15th March 2018, laddoo distribution campaign was carried by Namo Vichar Manch, in which the 2600 volunteers went to 11000 houses with a photograph of Bajrang Bali (Lord Hanuman) and Hanuman Chalisa to distribute laddoos. This record was initiatedby Dr. Indushekhar, the President of Rajasthan Sahitya Academy and was recorded in the Golden Book of World Record.
Shoe Collection for Needy
On the same day, 15th March 2018, the same team of 2600 volunteers went in 5200 houses to collect pair of shoes to be later distributed in the needy. This record was also established by Namo Vichar Manchand initiated by Dr. Indushekhar, the President of Rajasthan Sahitya Academy, and also was recorded in the Golden Book of World Record along with the above record.
91 Push-ups in 1 minute
Rohit Kumar Dangi in August 2018 beat the record of 81 push-ups in a minute created by Doug Pruden of Canada by performing 91 push-ups in a minute. Golden Book of Records recorded this achievement of his, Rohit Kumar Dangi being an M.Sc student in Mohan Lal Sukhadia University worked hard for continuous 2 years to seal his place in the World Record list.
Longest Interstate Skating Marathon
Three shining kids of Udaipur named Jagat Pratap Singh Gahlot (11 years old), Krishna Kanwar Gahlot (14 years old), and Jiya Kanwar Badgujar (15 years old) lead by their skating teacher Manjeet Singh of Shree Ram Skating Club accomplished skating for 750km from Sukher Udaipur to Rangpuri New Delhi. They started their skating expedition on 26th April 2018 morning and ended on reaching Delhi at night on 3rd April 2018. This record made its place in Asia Book of Records.
Swimming for Nonstop 9 Hours to Cover 47kms
14 year old Gauravi Singhvi created another world record in 2018 by swimming for 9 hours in the Arabian Sea covering 47kms under the guidance of her coach Mr. Mahesh Paliwal. She plans to participate in Olympics in near future and cross the English Channel. The record was tabulated by Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association, affiliated by Swimming Federation of India.
Longest Birthday Cake
On the occasion of the 76th birthday of Superstar Amitabh Bachchan a 76 ft long cake with the height of 44 inches, 6 inches broad, 108 kgs of weight was cut by Ashoka Bakery. The cake was made by Chef Vikram Madhwani and his team; they took 2 days in the preparation of the longest cake. This was recorded in the International Book of records. They plan on breaking their own record next year by making a 77 feet long cake next year on Big B’s birthday.
